I want to uninstall the beta version of TellJack but don’t seem to be able to exit the application.

You need to install the new version on top of the beta version. This will update the system and allow you to uninstall.

My TellJack isn't working properly, what can I do?

We're sorry you're having a problem. You may be running an older version of TellJack so the first thing to try is re-downloading the TellJack client and doing a full install of it (including rebooting your computer at the end if asked to do so). If you are still having problems please do contact us at help@telljack.com and we'll be happy to help.

I haven't received any content, how come?

You probably haven't been on-line for long enough. TellJack is a tethered delivery service, which means you need to be connected to the internet to view content, you also need to have been on line for 5 hours or so in order to receive the first delivery. It takes so long because we throttle the use of bandwidth (both yours and ours).

Other solutions:

TellJack Won't run on my computer

Like all software TellJack has minimum requirements.

For PC:

• Windows XP or Windows Vista
• An internet connection
• We also recommend that you have at least 512MB of RAM

And for Mac:

• Mac OS X 10.4 or greater
• An internet connection
• We also recommend that you have at least 512MB of RAM

Does TellJack have to start on start-up?

No, you may stop it starting up automatically by deleting the shortcut it places in the Statup folder in Programs on your Start Menu.

Does TellJack have to run all the time?

The way we deliver content is in small chunks over a long period of time. We use your bandwidth when you're not using it for anything else which is why the programme needs to be running for you to receive new content.

I'd like to switch off the alerts if I'm doing a presentation or something?

You can exit TellJack by right clicking on the TellJack icon in your system icon tray in Windows or by right clicking its icon in the Dock in OS X.

The quality seems great, how do you do that?

Thanks! ;) we deliver the content to your harddrive so it is 'streaming' locally on your machine. This allows us to deliver much higher definition content than you could access directly over the internet without pauses or disruption.

What's 'my profile' and 'add channels' supposed to do?

You'll be able to add other editors to your TellJack software as they come on line.

I'd like to be able to minimize the Tell Jack window to the system tray while the music is playing?

We'd like to introduce this feature in the future, we'll keep you posted!

Will there be any album reviews or descriptions included?

Those details will be on the website you can click the "Info" button in the Gilles Peterson Album Club to link straight to the page for that item.

Volume control button, where is it?

A mute option will be added to the next release.

Any plans to let users know how long the albums/videos will be available for?

Yes! In the next release.

Could users make suggestions for the album of the week?
